The Nethercutt Collection is a breathtaking museum of 130 of the world's greatest vintage cars, and also other antique objects and articles of interest.
The Nethercutt Collection is a museum which will definitely be of prime interest to an antique collector. It's exhibits range include cars, furniture, music boxes and instruments, and also collectibles. The Nethercutt Collection's most prized possession is it's extraordinary collection of antique and vintage cars. The collection ranges from the Antique Era of the 1890s to the post war years of the 1940s to the 70s. The Lower Salon is where the trip starts, with around 25 cars displayed, along with many other antique articles such as music boxes, crystal figurines, dolls, coins and so on. When you move to the Grand Salon you'll realise it's aptly named. This stunning hall, dotted with imposing marble columns, brightened by crystal chandeliers and made even more beautiful by the painted ceiling is home to the museum's best collection of automobiles from the 1910s to the 1930s. Here you'll find the Cadillacs, Maybachs, Minerva, Duesenbergs and so many other brilliant car models. Even the museum's collection of musical instruments is quite stunning, such as the elaborate orchestrations and the lovely grand pianos. Outside the museum you will also find a brilliantly restored steam locomotive from 1937, and the private and custom built railcar of the eldest daughter of E.J "Lucky" Baldwin, the founder of the Santa Anita Race Track.
