Grand Harbor Malta, Malta Overview

The Grand Harbour is one of the largest natural harbors on the island of Malta in the Mediterranean sea. Resting against the scenic & historic backdrop of a UNESCO World Heritage site, the marina at Grand Harbour Malta never fails to astonish visitors.

The Grand Harbor is on the east coast of Malta and is separated from another natural harbor - Marsamxett by the Sceberras Peninsula on which the capital city of Valletta rests. It divides the Grand Harbor from its neighbor Marsamxett Harbour. Over the years, it has been significantly modified with fortifications and sizable docks (the Malta Dockyard). Notably, the Grand Harbor has been used substantially since ancient times, therefore it has several forts, docks, and wharves around, which gives it a distinctive persona. For 268 years (from 1530 to 1798), it was the base for the Order of Saint John. Embracing the breathtaking setting & historic charm with the benefits of a modern-day superyacht marina, the Grand Harbor is one of the most enchanting sights in Malta.
