The Bozburun Peninsula is located to the south of Marmaris in Turkey's Muğla Province. Known for its serene landscapes, historical ruins, and coastal villages like Bozburun, İçmeler and Turunç, it is situated opposite the longer Datça Peninsula. MAin attractions include Bozburun Village, Kızkumu Beach, Turgut Waterfall, ancient ruins of Bybassos, Kastabos, and Hygassos, Selimiye and Söğüt, and the Carian Trail.
The village of Bozburun is the namesake of the peninsula and a major highlight. Known for its tranquil harbor, Bozburun is famous for traditional wooden boat building, particularly the handcrafted Turkish Gulets. Kızkumu, also known as "Maiden's Sand Beach," is a unique attraction where you can walk on a sandbar that extends into the sea, creating the illusion of walking on water. Turgut Waterfall offers a refreshing retreat in a shaded forest area. The waterfall cascades into a small pool, perfect for a cool dip and the Carian Trail offers a waymarked hiking route that runs the length of the peninsula, providing breathtaking views and a chance to immerse in nature.
