Rockville is a historic city in the state of Maryland that has become a hub for software and biotech companies in the region. The city is known for its blend of natural beauty, historic architecture and modern urban landscaping.

The city is famous for a number of houses and mansions that are reminiscent of the architecture of the past. Amongst the main attractions include the Rockville Railroad Station and the Beall-Dawson House. The Rock Creek flows near to the city, forming the Rock Creek Regional Park. Nature lovers and adventure seekers can head to the park or Lake Needwood to go hiking, fishing or explore the wild. The construction of the Interstate 270 led to the rapid urbanization of the city, converting the downtown landscape into one with numerous high rise buildings that are home to federal offices, retail spaces and residential complexes as well.
