Charley Young Beach, Maui Overview
Situated at the northern end of Kam 1 (Kamaole Beach Park), Charley Young Beach is accessible through a residential neighborhood. The beach got its name after Charles Young - the owner of the property, which leads to the beach. The beach sits between Kaia Place and Ili Ili Road and is a small beach that is best visited in the morning when the water is at its calmest. Although Charles Young Beach isn’t ideal for snorkeling activities, it boasts a certain area near the north reef where the waters are calm. But be aware of the many rocks by the shoreline that makes entry to the water a bit difficult. And lately many sea turtles have been making this beach, home.
