With a height of around 231 meters, the UniCredit Tower is the tallest building in Italy. It is a popular skyscraper in Milan city in the Garibaldi district. Notably, the tower is twice the height of the Cathedral of Milan and four times the Tower of Pisa.
It is visible from even a 10 km distance. UniCredit Tower is a fragment of the largest urban redevelopment project ever initiated at the heart of Milan - the Porta Nuova. It is the tallest tower in the UniCredit Tower complex, which involves three towers of heights of 231 m (31 floors), 100 m (21 floors), and 50 m (11 floors). All clad in stone at the road level, these towers are eco-sustainable buildings constructed with glass and steel by the architect Cesar Pelli from Pelli Clarke Pelli architectural studio. All three towers have got LEED Gold precertification. Notably, the UniCredit Tower holds an 84 m tall spire that is alluringly lit at night. Besides, this skyscraper is the headquarters of UniCredit, which is the largest bank in Italy (by assets).
