Water Kingdom, Mumbai Overview

Believed to be Asia's largest theme water park, the Water Kingdom is an enormous family-friendly water cum amusement park in Mumbai. Boasting of a number of small and large pools and featuring speed modulated slides, pool waves, lazy river etc, the park is a big hit among the kids and the adults. In addition to that, you can also opt for a fish pedicure on the premises. For kids and adults like the Water Kingdom is a welcome respite from the heat and hassles of Mumbai.

It is located alongside the famous Essel World Amusement Park and is located in Borivali West, on the Global Pagoda Road. It can be easily reached via a combination of rail and road transport. The highlights of the Water Kingdom are undoubtedly its rides and stellar facilities. Rides at Water Kingdom, Mumbai

The Water Kingdom in Mumbai has some of the most exciting rides to suit everyone’s preference. There is one called, “What a Coaster” which has 6 bumpy slides and is also one of the tallest slides in India. This ride is for adults only, especially those who would like to experience the thrill of sliding down seven levels at almost 40 miles per hour.

Another exciting section of Water Kingdom is “Adventures Amazonia” where visitors can ride over the Elephant Safari, Rock n Roll Safari, and the Serpent Safari. They basically get a complete experience sliding through tunnels and playing in a large water pool amidst the theme of Amazon Forests.

Then there’s “The Lagoon” which is the country’s largest play pool with 10 different slides for kids and adults. This part of the water park expands across an area of 0.7 acres and consists of 3 slides for children, 3 slides for the grownups and 4 slides for all age groups.  

Wetlantic at the Water Kingdom is a humongous wave pool that expands over an area of 100 square meters. It has fountains, a boat, hills with miniature monuments, caves, a tower, in the middle of the crystal-clear blue waters of the wave pool. The ambience is close to a real beach and the waves are gentle and suitable for young and old.

The Water Kingdom has two more water zones, “Bratzone” and “Goofers Lagoon”. Bratzone has the aqua dome which is the rain dance arena. This section is equipped with sprinklers, a shallow beach and laser lights. Visitors can groove to the music and enjoy the drizzle. Goofers Lagoon has water guns, a tilting bucket that can hold 400 litres of water, a spinning tray, a splash roof, water pool, etc. which is perfect for family/ group activities.

How To Reach Water Kingdom

Water Kingdom is located in Borivali West in Mumbai. Local trains are the best mode of transportation in the city as the road traffic is mostly bumper to bumper. Having said that, if travellers are more comfortable taking the roadways, they may take a bus ride from any bus stop in Mumbai or hire a taxi to reach the attraction. Local trains are easily available to reach Borivali Railway Station which is located 25 kilometres away from Water Kingdom. From the railway station, public transport (taxis and city buses) is best to reach the attraction via the route NH 48 – Gorai Uttan Road – Global Pagoda Road.
