Kamala Beach

Although a secluded beach, Kamala beach has evolved drastically after HQ beach Club and Cafe del Mar set its base on the beach. Since Kamala beach is located in Phuket, one can witness a wee bit of old-fashioned nightlife and a lot of colour in the area.

1. The Bua Restaurant:
The Bua restaurant serves excellent food at affordable rates amidst the picturesque views of Kamala Bay. Along with live music and a relaxing environment, the Bua Restaurant also provides perfectly cooked Asian and Thai delicacies such as massaman beef curry, stir-fried chicken, pomelo salad, pad Thai shrimps and seared Tuna.

2. Silk Restaurant:
Nestled in Andara Resort & Villas, Silk Restaurant offers an alfresco terrace dining facility exuding an artistic vibe in a contemporary setting. Specialised in Thai haute cuisine, Silk Restaurant pays attention to the consistency, flavour, presentation, and service.

3. Diavolo:
A five-star Italian restaurant located on a seaside cliff within the Paresa Resort Phuket, Diavolo offers a 270-degree bay view. Renowned as one of the best places to witness sunsets, Diavolo features a contemporary design with a red and gold-coloured theme. The restaurant serves exquisite Italian cuisine by the Italian Chef, Luca Mancini. Apart from Italian delicacies, some of the other dishes include Thai cuisine such as Talung Thai.

4. Sunset Grill Restaurant:
Sunset Grill Restaurant is an open-sided restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort serving excellent grilled dishes along with pristine views of the Andaman Sea. 5. Plum Restaurant:

6. Salt & Pepper:
Serving excellent western food, visitors can either dine indoors or outside with seating placed on the sand. Salt & Pepper is known for its fantastic food at reasonable rates, excellent service, and fun and relaxing atmosphere.

Songthaews
The feasible way to get to Kamala beach is by taking public transportation, especially blue songthaews. They usually work through the routes from Phuket to Surin to Kamala. A songthaew from Phuket town costs around THB 40.
However, these songthaews do not run towards the north of the airport or the south of Patong. The connecting transport can only be taken from Phuket.

Smart Bus
If you are beach hopping along the western coast, you can take the Smart Bus that usually costs between THB 50 to THB 170. If you are visiting straight from the airport, consider taking Smart Bus that costs around THB 170 or a taxi that costs around THB 750. There are bus stops near the Big C supermarket, that is very close to the city centre.
