Phuket Wake Park, with its array of adventure activities and fitness training, is a great experience for those wishing to enjoy challenging themselves. It provides a range of options including a full-size main cable with obstacles as well as professional training experience. There are also good lounges to relax and grab some yum Thai food!

Situated near Kathu Waterfall, Phuket Wake Park boasts an array of challenging and fun activities. Featuring a range of courses for all ages, Phuket Wake Park provides several exciting obstacles amidst the freshwater lake equipped with cable systems. Visitors can participate along with professional training experience before heading back to the lounges to devour some tasty Thai meals.

Open to the public in 1997, this 110-meter wide, 410-metre long and 2-metre deep man-made lake caters to a range of adventure seekers. With a cable speed starting at 28kph, adventure enthusiasts can choose from any or all of the 11 obstacles (kickers, flat bars, pipes, transition rail, Steffen Vollert, Kevin Henshaw, Poseidon, rooftop, tabletop, step down, and fun box). For those looking only to relax, there is an in-house bar and restaurant serving delectable Western and Thai cuisines.

Tips and Rules for Phuket Wake Park

  • Ask the staff for help if it is your first time.
  • Ensure to stay in line unless informed otherwise by the staff on the dock.
  • If you lose balance and fall, make sure to immediately look back to avoid clashing with other riders and ropes. If you cannot look back under any circumstance, duck to avoid clashing with another rider. Then swim towards the closest shore before removing the equipment.
  • Make sure to ride only between the corner buoys. If that's not possible, you can let go of it completely.
  • Exit only from the point "exit here" located right before the motor tower.
  • Deepwater starts are prohibited. If the cable stops in any case, you must let go and start swimming.
  • Hold the handlebars with your hands and not between the legs, through the arm, or around the neck.
  • Do not initiate power while on the corners. Wait for the carrier to pass the pulley before starting the trick.
  • If the equipment loses or falls through in between the activity, let go of it immediately.
  • Do not use cuss words or any foul language.
  • You must know how to swim. If you fall amidst the activity, you must swim immediately towards the exit.
  • Only riders can use the dock area. You must have your bands at all times to enter the starting area.
  • Ensure you are in good health before entering the course of using the cable park. If at all any accidents happen during this high-risk sport, call 911 immediately.
  • While on the activity, keep a lookout for the fallen riders or other such essential aspects and maintain a distance between you and every other rider to avoid accidents. If you feel you are going to collide, let go of the handle and fall into the water.
  • Just like every other freshwater lake, there will be other marine creatures, micro-organisms, and bacteria present. The usage of nose clips is highly recommended.
  • Diving and swimming are not allowed.

Rules About Kicker/Slider Features

  • Most of the water features are only for experienced riders. Make sure to check before using any of the features.
  • The wake park won't take any responsibility for any damage or accidents that are caused to your body or the board while using the water features.
  • Do not add metal fins while using the features.
  • Never attempt to hit the features if there is another rider near you. It is best to avoid it and opting to land safely.
  • Only designated rental boards would be able to use the features

Cable Park Responsibility Codes

  • There are a lot of risks involved in cable parks. Always be aware of your surroundings. Sound judgment and personal awareness will help reduce many risks.
  • If you want to have the time of your life, you must follow the code of conduct thoroughly.
  • Ensure to ride or ski under your control and at your own risk.
  • Use a life jacket, helmet, and other essential and necessary equipment at all times.
  • Clear all your doubts if you are unfamiliar or new to the activity.
  • Follow the instructions, directions and safety rules given by the staff.
  • If you want to initiate your tricks, ensure to start with the easiest tricks or manoeuvres and then work your way up.
  • If you fall or let go during the course, make sure to steer away from the skiing or the riding zone as quickly as possible to avoid any further accidents.
  • Ensure to avoid the fallen riders, skiers, and other hazardous structures while on the course.
  • And never ski or ride under the influence of alcohol and other narcotic substances.
