A symbol of the South African freedom and its struggles, the Red Location Museum provides a rich history about its people. Red Location is one of the oldest townships of Nelson Mandela Bay, named for the corrugated iron barrack buildings which have rusted to a deep red.
When in South Africa, it is shameful if you do not make a visit to the Red Location Museum. It portrays both the horrors of institutionalised racism and the heroic efforts of the anti-apartheid movement.
