Queenstown Gardens is a famous attraction located in Queenstown, New Zealand. It is a Botanical Garden renowned for its wide variety of plant species. The garden facilities, events, celebrations, and many visitors annually. This is the place to be for tourists searching for a place where they can participate in several sports and rejuvenating activities and find an equal amount of serenity.
Moreover, nature lovers and botany enthusiasts often visit the Queenstown Garden to study the range of native plants and trees. Some of these trees are new, and some are ages old. The landscape has trees in a range of sizes.

Sports- Queenstown Gardens has facilities for sports like Skateboarding, Lawn Tennis, Skating, BMX Biking, Disc Golf and Ice Hockey. Each sport has its own dedicated club that frequent visitors can be a part of. There are separate clubs for juniors as well. Parents need to register their children and they can also get involved if required. Memberships are taken between 1st October and 30th September and between 1st March and 30th September only.
Events- The attraction also arranges several sports events like workshops, sports sessions, tournaments etc. Fundraising, entertainment events, art and light festivals are also held once in a while.
Queenstown Gardens sees a rise in the number of visitors to participate and enjoy their holidays especially during Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Having said that, one does not necessarily have to be a member of a club to participate in an activity. The management has provisions for renting sports equipment too.
Walks- Other than making the most of these facilities provided by Queenstown Gardens, visitors can explore the beautifully landscaped attraction and enjoy the tranquil ambience. They can walk through the lush green lawns, over well-paved pathways and study the mix of native heritage and non-native plants and trees in the premises. People can also explore the dense forest that is formed by a mix of trees like Black Oak, Grand Fir, Red Oak, Monkey Puzzle, Algerian Fir, Wellingtonia and Western Hemlock.
Rose Garden and Pond- A beautiful pond and a rose garden also exist in the Botanical Gardens. Visitors can find a seat and enjoy the scenic beauty on the banks of the waterbody. The clean and pleasant environment of Queenstown Gardens is also considered a great place to have a picnic with the family.
There are restaurants and eateries around too but if one wants to, they may pack a snack. In case exploring the Garden on foot sounds too cumbersome, visitors may choose to rent a Segway which is charged on an hourly basis.
