Located adjacent to the serene Ladiko beach, Anthony Quinn Bay is a small cove a few minutes away from Faliraki, which measures around 250 meters in length and 10 meters in width. As the seabed here is rocky, tourists are advised to wear sea shoes to go in and out of the water. There is a free parking space at a walk of 2-3 minutes. The beach is well organized, with taverns and watersport facilities.
The bay is renowned for its fine sand, pebbles, and rocky terrain both in and out of the water, with pine trees reaching the sea's edge. Its famous turquoise water, ideal for swimming and sunbathing, is situated on the eastern side of Rhodes island. This beach offers scuba diving, snorkelling, and other water sports options for those looking for a thrill. The beach’s name was changed from its original name, ‘Vagies’ after the 60s famous movie, ‘The guns of navarone’ featuring popular actor Anthony Quinn, was shot here. Quinn was incidentally so enchanted by this place that he tried to buy it to create a global centre of holiday for the who’s who of the film world. He was unsuccessful in this endeavour, but nonetheless, this island is a popular spot among movie buffs.
