Seven Springs, Rhodes Island Overview

Seven Springs is situated between the villages of Kolymbia and Archipoli. The main attraction is the series of seven natural springs that fall into a small lake. A 186-meter-long dark tunnel with fresh spring water running is the main feature of the valley. The tunnel leads to the lake. The valley is perfect for hiking opportunities.

This serene valley is a Natura 2000 protected area, renowned for its lush greenery and refreshing waters. The area is covered in verdant woodlands, with pine and plane trees providing ample shade and creating a picturesque landscape. The seven springs and small rivers in the valley ensure a constant flow of fresh water, even during the hottest months, forming a beautiful lake. This lake and the surrounding infrastructure were created by the Italians in the 1920s to irrigate the nearby plains of Kolymbia. The Seven Springs area is ideal for picnics and leisurely walks. The valley hosts a cozy taverna run by a local family for nearly 80 years.
