Located as a part of the Skyline Gondola Complex with its Tasting room situated at the top of the complex, Volcanic Hills Winery is everything the name suggests. There is an eclectic range of award-winning wines to choose from; there is a tasting room at a sky-high level and a stunning panoramic view of the Rotorua lakes looking over.

It has a relaxed ambience where you can visit with your family, sit back and enjoy what Rotorua’s very own winery has to offer. The wine menu is produced and manufactured in the entire region of New Zealand, which is renowned for its extensive, high-quality wine like Martinborough, Central Otago, Gisborne, Marlborough, and Hawkes Bay. No prior appointment is required, and the winery is open daily from 11 am-6 pm.

Facilities

There is a tasting room designed for you to taste the wine samples and buy the best of their sales.
The winery and the tasting room can be booked exclusively to celebrate a special occasion like birthdays or anniversaries or to hold a corporate event. Prior appoint or a call is required to avail of this facility.

The last wine tasting session allows entry at 5:30 pm.
The Winery remains closed on Christmas Day, Good Friday and Easter Sunday every year.

Wine Tasting Sessions

11 AM- 6 PM, the last wine tasting session time is at 5:30 pm. The tasting sessions along with the winery itself remain closed on Christmas day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday by the liquor licensing dictates of NZ.

It is located very conductively near Rotorua airport at a distance of 9km.
It is located at a distance of 5 km from the center of Rotorua town.
There is an abundance of parking space available outside the Skyline Gondola complex.
