When visiting Rumsiskes, travelers should also keep in mind that the town is quite rural and the nearest major city is Klaipeda, which is about 40 kilometers away. Public transportation is limited and a car is recommended to get around the area. Additionally, most attractions, eateries, and stores are closed on Sundays.
