The Cardiff beach that’s just a walk away, provides a good option for various crowds ranging from beach-goers, swimmers, surfers, snorkelers to beachcombers. The popular surf spots, Swami’s and Cardiff Reef are present here that brings in quite a lot of tourists all year round.
The waves here resulting from the offshore reefs proves to be just perfect for all surfers alike, whether professional or novice. And when the tide is low, the seabed reveals a marvelous flat rock reef and sea creatures that enchants the visitors extending about 50 yards into the ocean. It is a popular activity for visitors to explore these reefs and also go snorkeling.
Apart from this, the wetlands area, San Elijo Lagoon, just south of the beach, offers a great spot for birdwatchers which draws in various migrating and local birds throughout the year.
