Camino Falls, San Francisco Overview

Camino Falls is a waterfall inside California’s Sierra National Forest which shares its boundaries with Fresno, Madera and Mariposa counties along with Yosemite National Park. Nestled under the shadows of Sierra Nevada Mountains, the forests are natural habitat of multiple reservoirs and lakes which allows for recreational activities such as boating, fishing and sailing. The ski-resort, China Peak, can only be accessed with special permits.

The low-volume waterfall is 200 feet long and crosses over the Camino Creek finally cascades over a granite rock slab. Nearby creeks include Johnson, Portuguese, Shuteye, Beasore, Muggler and Little Shuteye Pass. The falls enjoy a favourable distance from some of the historical abandoned campgrounds such as Beasore, Camino and Ryans Upper Cow Campground. Kates Cow Camp and Soda Spring Campgrounds are active camping sites.
