The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) is located at the Yerba Buena Park and is a place of cultural essence to the city. They showcase art, feature films, dance performances, public programs, etc. The center displays exhibits and collaboratively works with other foundations to promote public welfare and eliminate violence from the community. The YBCA has launched a colorful open lawn social distancing art project in the park to raise awareness.
The center has public art on display by artists like Tosha Stimage, Ana Teresa Fernandez and Jerome Reyes. It hosts concerts and performances of renowned theatre artists, dancers, etc. The Grand Lobby of the Center provides some broad views of the beautiful park. The CultureBank at the Center has a StoryBank that shares stories of architects, artists, entrepreneurs, etc. that have impacted the community. Every year, the YBCA announces a list of 100 leaders, entrepreneurs, activists that are making a change in the world. They have a theatre and a terrace room for ballet performances, conventional shows, conferences, and the space is available on rent for other private and corporate events. The building itself has spectacular modern architecture.
