Ammoudi Beach, Santorini Overview
Amoudi Beach is a beautiful bay and a small port located at the bottom of the beautiful Oia village. Unlike other typical beaches, it is a rocky volcanic coast with crystalline water perfect for diving. It is also ideal for peaceful walks. It is also one of the best places to have seafood in Santorini.
The beach is considered the most picturesque spot in Santorini with amazing views of the fishing boats and beautiful sunset. Along the coast, a path leads to high rocks which is an ideal spot for strong swimmers to dive. The beach does not have any sunbeds and umbrellas but there are several fish taverns along the waterfront. Wearing comfortable shoes is recommended as the beach and bottom are both rocky. Amoudi beach can be reached via car, the traditional way of donkey ride or via foot (more than 200 steps).
