Tenneti Park, Visakhapatnam Overview
Tenenti, an urban park, is located in close vicinity to the Bay of Bengal at Jodugullapalem in Visakhapatnam. It has recently been renovated for tourism purposes. In addition, one of the city's oldest parks, Tenneti, was destroyed in a cyclone Hudhud in 2014 and was reconstructed according to international standards.
Named after the freedom fighter and politician Tenetti Viswanadham, a statue of the leader has been installed on the park premises.
The park's main attraction is the blue-green waters of the Bay of Bengal and the serene setting beside the Kailasagiri Hills; one can trek to these hills through the park. Tourists can also enjoy a toy-train ride at this park.
