Nestled in the wetlands between Rabdentse and Pemayangtse in Sikkim, the Sidkeong Tulku Bird Park is a haven for avian enthusiasts. Established in 2015, this park is a joint effort by the government of Sikkim and the tourism industry to create a sanctuary for both permanent and migratory bird species.
Situated amidst the foothills of the Himalayas, Sikkim is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and rich biodiversity, making it an ideal location for such an endeavor. Named after Sidkeong Tulku, the 10th Chogyal of Sikkim and a pioneer in modern forestry, the park showcases a diverse array of flora and fauna, including over 600 species of birds. The park features well-maintained walkways and elevated bridges, providing visitors with easy access to observe the captivating birdlife.
