Freddie Mercury Museum

Located in Shangani, Stone Town, Zanzibar, the Freddie Mercury Museum is the world's first dedicated to the iconic Freddie Mercury. The museum was his childhood home when he lived in Zanzibar. It shows stuff like memorabilia, photos, and personal items from the musician's life and career. Situated in the historical Zanzibar Gallery, the museum is a must-visit for Queen fans.

Freddie Mercury, the renowned lead singer of Queen, was born as Farrokh Bulsara in Stone Town, Zanzibar. Despite moving away from his family at a young age, Zanzibar held significant importance in his life and identity.  Freddie Mercury is honoured in this museum, opened on November 24, 2019, commemorating the 28th anniversary of his passing. It features exclusive photos spanning his life, with a focus on his pre-Queen days. The museum also displays items sharing insights into Freddie Mercury's early life. It serves as a tribute and offers visitors a closer look at the man behind the music.
