How to Reach Uzi Island

To get to Uzi Island, you can either take a boat or drive during low tide along a 2 km coral rock road called Nyeker Road. This road, created with rocks and stones, passes through mangroves and offers a unique experience with different mangrove types on each side.

You can also catch Dala Dala number 334 from Uzi to Stone Town, which takes around an hour. But when the tide rises, the road disappears, and you'll continue your journey on a traditional Dhow.

The drive to Uzi Island is scenic but a bit bumpy. If you tend to get motion sickness, try sitting at the front of the vehicle or making yourself comfortable.
