I booked Maharashtra Jyotirlinga tour through Back2Holidays' representative, Himani. Poor and unpleasant services provided.
Despite my expectations and being assured of accommodations in 3/3+ premium (Read More) star hotels, only 2 out of the 5 hotels met my expectations. The remaining hotels were either budget accommodations or temporary lodgings unsuitable for a family stay. POC Himani had claimed she had personally visited these properties, and knows the property ambience and service provided by them.
I addressed the issue of subpar hotel stays and poor services on the third day of the trip and at the second hotel accommodation of the trip in Shirdi and requested a review of the remaining accommodations and upgrade, if required, which were met with unfulfilled promises. Despite my willingness to pay extra, the accommodations remained the same and subpar, with unpleasant odors, dirty linens, broken bathroom doors, insects walking around etc, affecting our stay.
In Mumbai, our stay at the Atlas Plaza Hotel in Andheri was particularly disappointing. It was a very shady hotel. The reception area had an unpleasant smoke odor (which was also highlighted to the hotel staff immediately), and the overall ambiance was far from family-friendly.
Earlier, Himani had promised to change the hotel if upon reaching the location, we did not find it right and suitable, but she went back on her words and at the last moment, did not honor this commitment. We had arrived late around 10:00 PM at night at the hotel location after a long tiring day of travelling and were requesting Himani to provide us with another option to stay. I was even willing to cover additional costs for a better option, but my request was declined. Himani had also decided to change my driver on the last day of my trip, against mine and the driver's wish. Therefore, we had to relieve the driver as well. All of this left me and my family in a difficult situation.
Furthermore, the hotel lacked restaurant services; breakfast options were fixed and limited, and the breakfast provided was unsatisfactory.
Moreover, I had requested to keep my trip relaxed and comfortable but it was very hectic. We were on the move everyday, and were reaching our accommodation extremely late at night; as late as 1:30 AM also.
I had also requested to keep the same driver throughout the tour but as mentioned earlier, Himani changed the driver on the final day. The change in drivers was contrary to our agreement and added to the inconvenience.
Although, I would like to appreciate Shailesh Gupta, the driver provided by Back2Holidays, for his professionalism and safe driving. His behaviour was proper and he showed respectful conduct at all times.
I am concerned about the lack of proper services from Himani from Back2Holidays.
I hope you will review these concerns and take appropriate action to prevent similar issues for future travelers. I look forward to your response and resolution.
