I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Road to Trips India for organizing an unforgettable trip to Kashmir. It was our first visit, and the entire experience was magical and well-coordinated. From th (Read More)e moment we landed at the airport to the time we boarded our flight back home, everything was thoughtfully arranged, making our journey seamless and stress-free.
A special mention to Miss Iqra Abdullah, whose assistance and planning made the trip even more delightful. Her guidance and recommendations were spot-on, ensuring we didn’t miss out on any must-visit spots.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Umar Ali, our driver throughout the Kashmir trip. His exceptional driving skills, professionalism, and warm demeanor made our journey smooth and enjoyable.
Mr. Umar was always punctual, supportive, and ready to assist us in every possible way. His knowledge of the local routes and his cheerful attitude added a lot of comfort to our trip. Whether it was navigating challenging roads or ensuring our safety, he truly went above and beyond.
Thank you, Mr. Umar, for being such a reliable and delightful part of our Kashmir experience
During the trip, we explored:
Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold): The lush meadows and snow-capped mountains left us in awe. The Thajiwas Glacier, accessible via a short trek, was a breathtaking highlight.
Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers): Known for its picturesque landscapes, we enjoyed the Gulmarg Gondola ride, one of the highest cable cars in the world. The snowy peaks and serene surroundings were a treat.
Srinagar: The houseboat stay on Dal Lake, the soothing shikara rides, and the Mughal gardens like Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh were unforgettable. We also visited the Shankaracharya Temple, perched atop Shankaracharya Hill, which offered panoramic views of Srinagar and a serene spiritual experience.
Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds): The scenic beauty of Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari was enchanting. The sound of the Lidder River added to the charm.
On the Way to Srinagar: Don’t miss a visit to the Markand Sun Temple near Anantnag. While there are two temples, one in the market and an older one on a hill, we recommend visiting the older temple to immerse yourself in the region’s rich culture and history.
Doodhpathri (Valley of Milk): This offbeat destination was a hidden gem with its green meadows, pine forests, and tranquil streams. It was a perfect place to relax and unwind.
Suggestions for Improvement:
1. Local Cab Arrangements: It would be helpful if the agency handled local transport bookings to save travelers from the hassle of negotiating fares with locals. This would ensure a more relaxing experience.
2. Avoid Pony Services in Pahalgam: The pony operators at Pahalgam were unprofessional and overcharged significantly, making the experience unpleasant. We recommend avoiding pony rides altogether. Instead, encourage walking or exploring alternative modes of transport in the area.
3. Upfront Cost Transparency: Including details about additional charges (e.g., gondola tickets, taxi services) in the package would allow better planning and eliminate surprises during the trip.
Despite these minor issues, the trip was truly extraordinary. Kashmir's unmatched beauty, combined with the agency's meticulous planning, created memories that we will cherish forever. A big thank you to everyone at Road to Trips India for making this journey so special
