    We love this hotel to stay in visiting relatives and hosting family events. The food is generous and well cooked, the staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms have everything you need for a nice stay, the hotel is clean, the location and grounds are stunning and well maintained- what more do you need?

    Another wonderful stay.
    The hotel is lovely, the staff are great. The rooms are clean and warm, well furnished, the lighting is cozy, the food is excellent and the bar has a great selection of drinks. The grounds are beautiful, the views are spectacular.

    Lovely Hidden Gem!
    Stayed at this family run hotel and it was amazing value for money. Breakfast was lovely and HOT which I loved. Lots of choices to. Had an evening meal and Sunday Carvery with the family and was very impressed. We will stay here again when we visit family living nearby. Lovely place.
    Couldn't find fault with anything.

    The breakfast was excellent Goods election of everything and good quality Impressed by gluten free Provision GF biscuits in room Lovely staff We felt really welccome The hotel is not newly decorated but is really clean Extra heaters supplemented the older style central heating so we were warm
    It's not a modern luxuriously up to date hotel but we loved the character and setting and the personal attention

    more than adequate very friendly staff
    The bedroom was a little cold although the radiator was on... not a deal breaker as its a big old house so understandable.. could have done with a a bit more water pressure on the shower but yet again only a minor niggle..
    the hotel was more than adequate for my stay over and the cost was very reasonable i thought

    Beautiful building and gardens in a great location. Easy to find. The entrance hall is lovely too. We were made welcome until showed to the room. Breakfast offer is varied and cooked breakfast is very good too.
    Advertised as dog friendly (really?). We were showed a rundown looking room upstairs with a double bed and a dripping shower as the only dog friendly room . In the wardrobe was still hanging a shirt from previous guest. I asked to move room, and were reluctantly moved into another run down looking room. As we came down with our (small) dog for breakfast, we were not welcome in the then empty dining room. A table was moved especially for us and set into the waiting room nxt to the entrance hall, we were left there alone. To us, this place was not customer friendly let alone dog friendly...

    Lovely place to stay in.
    Really nice building with lovely garden in quiet area. Reastaurant and bar are really nice as well. We had room with lovely big window.
    Windows need some cleaning, we had few spiders on it.
