Exceptional

a great place to stay, we were heading to Exeter airport early the following morning, great location

we had a meal in the kitchen bar , very friendly staff and good food. Fabulous bedroom.

parking would have been 12 but this was wavered. I wouldn't have been happy to pay if I had been charged.

Passable

It was ok and convenient but all the extras and expenses tainted our stay.

I liked how quiet the room was, plus the bed was really comfortable.

All the unforeseen extras. Had to pay for car parking. Had to pay for WiFi on each appliance wanting to use. I travel a lot and have never been asked this. It was dearer to have breakfast the following day as we hadnt booked it in advance.myself and partner had a running joke to say wed be charged if we put the tv on!

Very good

The location at the junction of the M5 made it really convenient for us. The hotel was comfortable and welcoming. Adjoining rooms were really helpful as we are a family travelling with young children.

The pillows were very big/hard. Bathroom drains were a bit smelly.

location was good, liked how the noise from the motorway was non existent from our room. staff are always friendly

Wasnt too happy about having to pay extra for wifi, however my partner signed up to be a member and ended up not paying because of that. overall nothing I didnt like

Disappointing

Disappointing yet stylish

I enjoyed the style of the hotel and the view from the restaurant.

There was an incessant creacking noise from the room above. It sounded like a creacking floorboard but it was every 30-60 seconds. It drove me mad at night and I didn't get to sleep until 2am. The staff at reception barely apologised, said they would investigate and didn't say a lot more. I was too tired to argue but expected a partial refund because I slept so badly. It's very unlikely I would stay again which is disappointing as the location is so handy. The hot breakfast had lids on every item, so every person was removing and replacing a lid. Ridulous! It didn't keep it hot so that really needs reviewing. The juice wasn't cold. The soya milk wasn't cold. I couldn't see where to get a coffee either and nobody asked me if everything was OK. The bathroom was covered in short black hairs, by the sink, the edge of the shower, in the shower, on the floor, so the previous guest must have had a lot of body hair. It should have been easily spotted. Very unpleasant.

Great hotel, excellent staff, spotless and comfortable.

Great location close to Exeter city. Staff were so lovely throughout our stay. Food was great at the bar, breakfast was perfect so many choices. Room was spotless and very quiet. Lovely bed linen, goose duvet and pillows were so comfy. Thank you :)

It was great, just a one night stay we loved it. Unexpected 12 extra per night for parking.

Very good

Fine - Question mark over the management teams competence in dealing with problems

Understaffed - major problem with food arrival and issues with there IT on the day - management didn't seem to respond to the fact that there staff were struggling and could have helped out at the bar / restaurant .. All a bit of a mess and this reflects directly on poor management.
