The Holiday Inn Winchester accommodated guests last minute, with friendly staff who upgraded rooms for free. The rooms were spacious and clean, a bit out of town but easily accessible by taxi. Breakf (Read More)ast was included, parking was available for a fee. Another guest had a restful stay, praised the clean room, good food, and friendly staff. A third guest enjoyed the spa, despite minor cosmetic issues in the room but praised the delicious food, great service, and comfortable bed, making them want to return in the future.

A great stay just outside Winchester centre
Ideal location for the Winchester Science Museum and Planetarium. Comfortable bar and hotel lobby areas. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff both at reception and in bar and restaurant.

Local for Winchester.
The room was freezing cold, on one of the coldest weekends in 2023. Had to ask for heaters, as blower system was not working. We were not alone in this complaint. They even had to source heaters for the dining area.
Also, over priced.

The very smiley young man on reception was very friendly and very good at communicating everything we needed to know
The room was cold when we arrived and it was a stormy day. We were wet through and it took a long time for the room to warm up. There could be clearer instructions for the heating as what we were reading didn't match the symbols on the control panel

Restful stay
We had a restful stay here over the Christmas period of 2023, visiting Winchester. We were welcomed by friendly staff, good size room for my small family, good bathroom facilities and a responsive climate control. There were plenty of reception seating and a decent size restaurant with plenty of breakfast options. Again staff here were friendly and attentive.
Perhaps not the most up-to-date gadgets for a 4 star hotel like a big TV screen, usb charging but not really a deal breaker. Some paint could do with re-touch here and there but really nit picking. Also wanted to mention very little hanging space for clothes. Overall we had a relaxing stay, and great staff which what really matters the most.
