Kaleici, Antalya Overview

Kaleiçi, the historic center of Antalya, dates back to Roman times and is located near the city's marina on the Mediterranean coast. Known for its narrow, cobblestone streets and Ottoman-era architecture, it features landmarks like Hadrian's Gate, Kaleiçi Panoramic Elevator, the Clock Tower, and Yivli Minaret. Explore boutique hotels, vibrant shops, and traditional Turkish restaurants while enjoying the scenic harbor, from where boat tours can be taken.

Kaleici is perfect for visiting during the summer months. Ottoman-era restored houses surround the entire neighbourhood with cobblestone streets and small souvenir shops, which come alive in the summertime due to the influx of tourists worldwide. Behind the Kaleci Marina is a small beach, Mermerli Beach, with an observation deck atop a hill giving a panoramic view of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. The Marina itself docks several yachts and boats, and tourists can even board a submarine for a private tour. In addition, there is an observation terrace with a glass balcony offering picturesque views of the Marina. It is close to Kecili Park, where little cafés and wooden statues make the perfect backdrop for watching the sunset. Built in 100 BC, Kaleici is lined with hotels and tourist attractions.
