Cantillon Brewery, Brussels Overview

Cantillon Brewery is a family-owned lambic brewery, located in the Anderlecht district, a short distance from the city center. It is one of the last traditional lambic breweries in Brussels and showcases historic brewing equipment. Here, you can learn about the lambic brewing process, and witness the production in action during operating days. Self-guided tours, guided tours, and beer tastings experiences are available. Tours can get crowded, especially on weekends.

Established in 1900, it is a cornerstone of traditional Belgian beer culture, specializing in lambic, gueuze, kriek, and other spontaneously fermented beers. Unlike most breweries, Cantillon uses time-honored techniques and authentic equipment to produce its unique brews. Sample a selection of Cantillon’s famous brews, including gueuze and kriek, and discover the distinct character of spontaneously fermented beers.  The brewery shop offers rare and limited-edition bottles to take home as souvenirs or gifts.  The unique flavors of lambic beers may be an acquired taste for some, but the craftsmanship behind them is worth exploring.
