Established in the 1870s, the Lincoln Park Conservatory is home to one of the oldest public gardens in Chicago. Located in Lincoln Park, the garden is spread across 3 acres of land along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. The conservatory has four rooms that display exotic plants from all over the world.
A formal garden is situated in front of the conservatory. A host to several sculptures and artwork, the garden hosts the famous Sir George Solti’s Bust, the Schiller Monument etc,. Encompassed within the garden is an Eli Bates Fountain, also known as the Storks at Play, and a Conifer Garden, which has evergreen plants.
