The first glance on the Navy Pier shows you the grand Ferris Wheel. But don't judge judge the book by its cover- Navy Pier has got a lot of activities for everyone. Apart from swing-seat ride, carousal and Ferris Wheel; children would love to get into the Funhouse Maze, and explore the Chicago Children's Museum. For grown-ups, there's a beer garden, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, ballroom and some water activities on the lake. Some of these are free, while you'll be paying for the other ones.
