Located on Lake Michigan, the Shedd Aquarium is a 5 million U.S gallons indoor public aquarium in Chicago. An abode of 1500 species of fish, marine animals, birds, snakes, amphibians, and insects, the aquarium has several underwater exhibits like the Abbott Oceanarium, Wild Reef, Carribian Reef, Polar Play Zone, Amazon Rising, and many more. Surrounded by a beautiful indoor forest, the Abbott Oceanarium is home to marine mammals like the Beluga Whale, Sea Otter, Sealion, and White-Sided Dolphins.
Visitors can watch the dolphins play and soar, the otters dive, and sea lions bark at the Oceanarium. An abode to sharks, corals, reef fishes, and rays The Wild Reef is a recreation of the Philippines Coral Reef. Some of the marine mammals found here are Sandbar Shark, Moon Jelly, Clownfish, Honeycomb Murray, etc. Visitors can also view the Piranhas and Tiger Ray at the Amazon Rising and the colorful darters and sunfishes at the Great Lakes exhibit.
