The Shivalya Hindu Temple in Chicago is a contribution of the community members of the Shivalaya Hindu Cultural Center community members that aimed to provide a place for those who encourage religious, spiritual, and cultural gatherings for the residents of Chicago. The temple welcomes all Hindus and Non-Hindus who seek to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the Hindu Arts, philosophy, knowledge, and culture.
Intending to increase the spiritual belief, learning and teaching through different thoughts and experiences, it also offers educational enrichment to students through different mediums like dance, music, and Hindi language classes or workshops. The temple is a host of several festivities all year long. Some of the festivals include Ram Navmi, Durga Ashtami, Satyanarayan Pooja, and many more.
