Main Street Garden Park, surrounded by Main Street, Commerce Street, Harwood Street and St. Paul Street, in downtown Dallas, is a public park that opened in 2009 and has multiple amenities. It is a preferred park for many, especially from the downtown area, to enjoy a stroll, do some yoga, go jogging, sit under the sun on the lawn or bring their dogs to its urban run.
The splash fountain, toddler play area as well as the playground are perfect for children while facilities such as Wi-Fi are available to all visitors. City Park Café offers some delicious treats to try out and there are some public art installations at the park. SpectraScape is one such installation under the shade structures which has bands of light changing all around the year as well as at sunrise or sunset. There is a flower garden towards the park’s northeast side with small architectural materials from buildings that were previously on the land along with a sign relaying the area’s history.
