Arossim Beach, Goa Overview

Arossim Beach is a non-commercialized and uncrowded beach located in the Cansaulim area of Goa. The stretch of clean beach is perfect for lazing in the golden sand after a refreshing swim in the Arabian Sea. There are also some shacks amidst the tall palm trees that line the serene beach A natural extension of the neighboring Cuelim and Cansaulim beach to the north, the Arossim beach extends to the south to two famous beaches of Goa, the Utorda and Majorda beaches.

Peaceful and quiet, the beach offers a magnificent backdrop of the green coconut palms that contrasts with the colorful shacks that the trees hide. The stunning setting of the calm beach is a haven for leisure seekers, adventure lovers, and party people. Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit Goa falls in its winter months which is between October and March when you can enjoy all watersports under proper guidance in the low currents of the Sea. You can visit the beach throughout the year however, it is highly inadvisable to swim or do any water sports during the monsoon seasons due to the rough currents that may be present in the sea waters.

Activities at Arossim Beach

The beach is highly popular for the watersports that it has to offer. From swimming or skiing to speed boats rides or fishing you can choose from the many options available to spend your day at the beach. The beach also offers the necessary equipments and even training sessions right on the location for those who are interested in many adventures.

Interestingly, if you visit the beach around the 6th January, you can also join the Three Kings Feast that travels to the Three Kings Church from the beach. While at the beach, you can take relaxing spa sessions or massages that are available in the hotels, especially in the Heritage Village Hotels spa, just beyond the beach.

Nightlife at Arossim Beach

The nightlife that you may find in north Goa is lacking on this beach yet this place offers a fun night with the hotels and resorts hosting many events including Karaoke, live bands, and African dances in the evening. If you are looking for a party night you can head down to Colva, which is 10 minutes away from the beach. Colva has a selection of many pubs, clubs, bars, and shacks for you to dance to the crazy party beats.

How To Reach Arossim Beach

The beach is about 20 km away from Dabolim airport, 15 km from the Margao railway station and approximately 17 km from Vasco de Gama railway station which takes around 20 minutes to reach the destination. Many forms of public transports are available that will take you to the beach. You can also hire private vehicles to reach the destination.

You need to park your vehicles at the parking space at the beach. Then you need to cross the small bridge built over a stream that travels both sides along the beach.
