Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, Houston Overview
Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, a former Mansion that belonged to the philanthropist Ima Hogg is encircled with a series of gardens and spreads across 14- acres of land. Three of the gardens are named after the statues of the goddesses Clio, Diana and Eutrupe displayed in the garden.
The other three gardens are named after White, East, Butterfly, and Carla. While the Bayou Bend Collection and gardens is donated to the Museum of Fine Arts it currently caters to over four thousand objects depicting the American arts and paintings from period 1620 to 1870. The Bend Garden welcomes visitors throughout the year for tours and several events.
