With its lush greenery, sloping hills, and downtown Houston’s skyline acting as a backdrop, Eleanor Tinsley Park is an ideal place to relax and unwind.
A major site for hosting all the city’s events and festivals, including the fireworks from the Fourth of July, this park has got it all.
The park was named in honor of the late Eleanor Tinsley, a city council member and a city activist. The park features a variety of amenities, such as the picnic tables perched into some of the hills, which make it a unique setting to spend an amazing time in the park. Along with this, there are interesting walkways, sand volleyball court, Jane Gregory Garden, Eleanor Tinsley Garden, amphitheater lawn, family pavilion, and a promenade.
