Named after Terry Hershey, Terry Hershey Park is a county park acquired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the 1940s.
Nestled along the banks of South Mayde Creek and Buffalo Bayou in western Houston, Texas, the park sits on a 500-acre land, and features some of the best off-road bike trails in the country.
This park is a popular destination among the cyclists, locals, runners, and Geocachers. And there’s also a walk-in sundial that will tell you the time, depending on where your shadow is when you stand on a particular stone. You’ll also find gazebos, workout stations, multiple picnic spots, and a playground within the park.
