How to Reach Kashid

Kashid has a well-maintained system of roads which connect it to Alibag and consequently to the other major cities of Maharashtra like Mumbai and Pune. MSRTC runs a regular bus service on the route from Alibag to Murud which pass through Kashid. It takes around 1.5-2 hours to reach Kashid by bus.

To reach Kashid from Mumbai, other than during the monsoon season, ferries are the most convenient way to reach Kashid via Alibag. There is a very regular ferry service from Gateway of India to Mandwa jetty and then Alibag, from where you can take the frequent (almost hourly) bus to Kashid from Alibag bus stand.

Kashid doesn't have any airport or railway station. The nearest airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport in Mumbai. The nearest railway station is at Panvel.

How to reach Kashid by road

Kashid's roads are connected to different parts of Maharashtra with the main routes being from Mumbai and Alibag. You can hire a taxi from Mumbai to Alibag. Mumbai and Alibag are at a distance of 125 km and 30 km respectively. You can also reach Alibag by bus and hire a cab from there on. Tourists also hired a cab directly from Mumbai to Kashid. It takes around 3.5 hours to reach and the charges vary from INR 10 to INR 16 per km.

How to reach Kashid by train

There is no railway station at Kashid. If you are travelling by train, you will have to deboard at Panvel Railway Station. Kashid is 90 km away from Panvel. Panvel is one of the closest cities to Kashid. You can take a taxi from there to reach Kashid.

Since the region is quite small, any important destination can be reached through walk. Bicycles and bikes can be rented out from the local agencies present in Kashid for minimal rates.
