Panorama Konya Museum, one of Turkey's three largest panoramic museums, offers an immersive experience into the social life of 13th-century Konya and the Mevlevi culture. Situated within walking distance of the Mevlana Museum, the museum's primary attraction is its extensive panoramic section, which vividly depicts the life in 13th-century Konya through detailed oil paintings and models. These models include miniature forms of major attractions in Konya during early days.
The museum highlights the Sema, a form of Sama or spiritual dance associated with the Mevlevi order and its founder, Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. Artifacts and reconstructions from Konya Castle, Alaaddin Mosque, Karatay Madrassa and Alaaddin Hill provide insights into the city’s strategic and historical importance. An open-air museum section displaying models of Mevlevi houses from around the world. Life-size recreations of significant historical scenes, such as the sultan's welcome and market scenes.
