Mangalore is a beautiful city which attracts numerous visitors from across the country. Also, it is a beautiful city for one to shop. People here follow the shop till you drop attitude. One can shop for silk saris, gold as well as silver ornaments and some ivory & sandalwood artefacts. There are some shopping malls in the city too, the largest one out of which is the city centre which is the fifth largest mall in the entire state of Karnataka.

Some of the major shopping places in the city of Mangalore include Hampankatta, Kankannady, Falnir and Balmatta which are all the major shopping centres of the city. The two major malls in the city are Empire Mall and Bharat Mall. They comprise of coffee day, Nilgiris supermarket, dollar store, and pizza corner and grocery markets such as big bazaar.

Branded showrooms including those of Reebok, planet sports, Adidas, Levis, provogue andSwarovskii are also present in these huge malls. Along with these, some new shopping centers as well as new malls have been set up in city including Excel Mall, Time Square, Mischief Mega Mall, Mohtisham City Centre Mall and many more.
