Frogner Park is Norway's most famous park and a top tourist destination. Renowned for its extensive collection of sculptures by Gustav Vigeland, the park is both an outdoor museum and a tranquil green space for relaxation. Covering 45 hectares, Frogner Park is the largest park in Oslo and features lush gardens, ponds, and expansive lawns.
Frogner Park is part of the Frogner Manor estate, which dates back to the 18th century. It became a public park in the early 20th century. In 1924, Gustav Vigeland began installing his sculpture series, creating what is now the world's largest sculpture park by a single artist. His works depict the human experience, with over 200 bronze, granite, and wrought iron pieces displayed across the park.
