Parga

Located in Epirus in western Greece, Parga is a famous holiday destination among tourists and is perched on the foot of a hill. The town is settled on the Greece mainland across Corfu. Parga is known for its exotic sand beaches, traditional architecture and natural landscape.

Krioneri beach near the town centre, Valtos beach to the west, and Lichnos beach to another 4 km in west of the town. The historic castle is the main draw of Parga and remains in ruins. One can walk down to Parga from the fortress after exploring the orchards and the vineyards on the way.

Parga is home to hundreds of small churches scattered unevenly throughout the town. Vlacherna monastery and the view from Tourkopazaro road is a must-see. People swim to a small island opposite the central beach, Panagia as the island is quite near and the water is shallow.
