Patnitop offers marvellous views of the surrounding snow-covered Himalayas and provides numerous opportunities to engage in outdoor activities like trekking. Madhatop is no more than 5km from Patnitop and is perfect for a trek. Another excellent trekking option is Shiva Ghar which is about 11km from the hill station.
Patnitop is also popular for skiing owing to its snowy and undulating terrain. A short trip to Nathatop in the winters will give you a chance to explore gorgeous snow-covered hills, go skiing and also engage in nature photography, with the mighty Pir Panjal range all around.
The Sudh Mahadev Temple and 600-year old Nag Mandir are two sacred sites in Patnitop. The auspicious occasion of Nag Panchami witnesses thousands of devotees coming to worship the serpent deity at the latter. Patnitop holiday packages often include Kud, where you can visit Kud Park full of colourful flowers and an ideal picnic spot!
Widely believed to be a shorter route to Batote, Billo ki Powri is situated a little away from Patnitop, where you would find 270 steps cut into the mountain by the king of Chennai, though its origins remain uncertain.
