At Patnitop, other than a number of restaurants, there are several roadside eateries selling excellent food at a throwaway price. Also, though popular Indian cuisine is available and widespread one can also find a number of places having Chinese on their menus.

Tea & snacks are available at Nathatop. Do try chocolate Barfi, Sund Panjeeri, Rajma with Rice, Kalaadi which is a type of processed cheese, Pickles (typical of Jammu are made of Kasrod, Girgle, Mango with Saunf, Zimikand, Tyaoo, Seyoo and Potatoes), Khatta Meat (Mutton cooked with Pomegranate or line juice). There is a also a small liquor shop in the area.
