3 kilometers east of the resort town of Plakias, Souda Beach is situated at the exit of a small green valley where the Finikas River flows. It is a pet-friendly beach, and the western end of the beach has a designated nudist area marked by blue semi-transparent umbrellas. Free parking spaces are available at the taverns on the bay's eastern end.
The beach is well-organized with amenities such as sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, and changing rooms. It is surrounded by lush greenery and colonies of native Cretan palm trees. The beach offers clear, calm waters and sandy shores perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The rocky sides of the beach are ideal for fishing. Several taverns and a beach bar provide delicious local food and beverages.
