Rishikesh in Winter (October - February)

With temperatures between 20° C and 6° C, winters are the best time in Rishikesh to enjoy the natural beauty and engage in adventure activities especially rock climbing. The weather is pleasant throughout with January being the coldest month. However, it is not as severe as you expect a hilly town to be. You'll need to put on layers of clothing if you wish to trek over the snow-clad peaks. The best thing about winter is the sky and mist over the mountain range which is a sight to behold.

Rishikesh in Monsoon (June - September)

The monsoon season in Rishikesh comes with a lot of festivals like Savan. There is a rush of tourists in this season due to the religious events. However, visiting Rishikesh during July to September might not be ideal. August being the wettest month receives the heaviest rainfall when water sports activities like rafting remain closed.
