Moon Beach, Santorini Overview
Moon Beach, also known as Vlychada Beach, is a moon-shaped beach located on the southern tip of Santorini, near the beach of Agios Georgios. It is a grey sand beach with clean deep waters which rests below tall cliffs formed by the volcano. It is perfect for sunbathing and snorkelling and is less crowded than other beaches.
Some taverns and beach bars are located towards the beach's southern end. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for rent. The northern side is quieter and also nudist-friendly, with no amenities available. It is unsuitable for families with children because of the deep waters.
