The Tbilisi Auto Museum is situated just a short drive from Tbilisi’s East Point Shopping Mall. This museum houses a unique collection of vintage cars and motorcycles, mostly from the Soviet era, carefully restored and maintained. The exhibits include rare and historically significant vehicles such as the GAZ-M1 (Emka), once used by Lavrentiy Beria, and the 1978 Gaz-14 Chaika, previously owned by Georgia’s second president, Eduard Shevardnadze.
You can also explore other Soviet-era cars like the Zaporozhets, Zil, and the extremely rare GAZ-4 pickup truck, one of only five left in the world. In addition to viewing these iconic automobiles, you can also rent a vintage car and experience driving through Tbilisi. The collection is a journey through Soviet automotive history, making it a remarkable experience for both car enthusiasts and those curious about Georgia’s past.
